About OUR SexLinks...
Where we differ from commercial...
Our SexLinks offer something a little different than what you would find from a commercial hatchery. Sex link chickens are also commonly found at Feed stores. They are sexed at hatch by mixing certain multiple breeds together, usually 3 breeds or more to produce a chick that can visually be sexed at hatch. You will not find your commercial type sex link chick here. Our focus is on health traits, (which is where commercial layers fall short,) and laying of eggs. When we hatch sex links, we want them to have a long, healthy life that mirrors that of a Heritage breed bird. They lay well, but retain the genetic make-up of a Duel Purpose bird.

Us, in a Nutshell
FeatherLinks is a local family-run small Chicken Farm and Grape Vineyard that has been producing delicious fresh eggs and fruit since 2013. We strive to make the most of everything that our farm has to offer. Jams are made from the fruit we harvest.
Our eggs are always fresh. Anything over 2 week old, is donated to our local Food Bank. Our eggs are marked with the date they are LAID, rather than a suggested use by date like a grocery store does, so that you can be sure you are buying the absolute freshest eggs possible. Grocery store eggs typically are 45 days old. Our Oldest eggs that we donate are still 30 days fresher than those that can be purchased at a store.
In 2018, we ventured into hatching chicks for others, instead of just for ourselves, with great success. Our preferred chick is one that we can say for sure at hatch is either a male (cockerel) or female (pullet) as our area has a shortage of birds that are sexed for those that are looking for birds of their own. We use quality breed stock to create our special chicks. We do offer a few varieties of UNSEXED chicks at a more affordable price option.
